Background 1 in 5 persons suffers in silence from painful varicose & unsightly spider veins. Varicose & spider veins are not just cosmetic problems; they may result in serious irreversible complications if left untreated.
In fact, vein problems can be managed and treated without any operation. Patients can resume their usual activities the next day!
Key Challenges
Since SVC has started its operations since 1995, it has mainly concentrated its marketing efforts on magazines and word of mouth among the local expatriates. With 20% of the adult population suffering from vein-related problems, JM’s goal is to generate public awareness and encourage the target audience to actively seek vein treatments early.
Our research shows that many local and regional patients are not aware of their vein health and where to seek appropriate treatment. As such, many suffer in silence, some for a few couple decades.
Insight
There are many myths surrounding vein problems which we uncovered during our research. In order to generate public awareness and encourage the target audience to actively seek vein treatments early, we need to educate the public that vein health goes beyond aesthetics. Furthermore, with the introduction of various highly effective laser treatments, vein problems can now be treated with minimal pain.
The Process
After conducting a brand audit, we worked on a brand strategy comprising SVC’s brand DNA and positioning. SVC’s new brand identity including its logo design, tagline, clinic ambience, staff uniform, clinic consumerables such as paper bags and appointment cards were created.
We held an internal culturalisation as part of our internal branding systemisation. SVC’s unique brand guide and human resource organisation structure were also crafted among other supporting systems.
We have redesigned SVC’s advertisements in magazines in line with the re-branding. At the same time, we ran technical marketing mechanisms such as Mothers’ Day promotion in new magazine and media space.
To reach to the mass local public, we organised the first SVC Veins & You Forum. More plans are in the way to further educate both the local as well as regional public.
Result: The first SVC Veins & You Forum received overwhelming response for registration and more than 50% sign-ups for consultations.
